The Latte Lowdown

This is rule #4 of my 5 rule process:
Reduce the small things (the triple foam latte rule)

This is a picture of the most expensive Starbucks drink ever: A 13 shot venti soy hazelnut vanilla cinnamon white mocha with extra white mocha and caramel. It cost a total of $13.76 (with tax).

This is clearly excessive - but the point is the same: we all are able to reduce daily costs in a minor way. They add up in a major way.

Maybe it's changing your venti latte to grande americano and saving $1.50 a day or brewing your coffee at home. I dont think you need to forgo coffee as there is a value on your happiness and if you consider it a meaningful part of your routine - then keep it but reduce the cost.

The Five Finger Finance Foundation

I call this blog Five Finger Finance because finances are as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 steps:

1. Be aware of *your* financial intake
2. Be aware of *your* financial outtake
3. Be aware of macro finances (the state of the economy)
4. Reduce the small things (the triple foam latte rule)
5. Value happiness (that's what matters)

I'll cover some small things between all five of these and some fun anecdotes along the way. I would love people's additions and suggestions too!
